Seacoast Pathways Shines With Events This Holiday Season

(Seacoast Pathways, a program of Granite Pathways, is a mental health recovery peer community in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.)

Many of our followers and supporters are pleasantly surprised when they learn we are open on all holidays.

It is one of the nicest gestures our Clubhouse offers its members. We know that those experiencing mental health challenges may feel especially isolated over the holidays, which is why we are committed to welcome our members to celebrate with us on all holidays of the year. Food, beverages and activities are always available and themes are centered around each holiday.

Seacoast Pathways also recognizes that having activities all through the holiday season (Thanksgiving through New Year’s) is important so that members can have opportunities to be with others, celebrate and feel festive.

This year, the Clubhouse has an expansive schedule for both November and December. Highlights are a turkey dinner at the Clubhouse on Thanksgiving Day, generously donated by the Portsmouth Rotary. Who doesn't love a parade? This year plans are set for a Clubhouse gathering right at the start of the Portsmouth annual Christmas parade on December 4th. Two weeks later a candle-lit stroll is in the offing at the famous Strawbery Banke in Portsmouth. On Christmas Eve day, the Clubhouse will be open and a traditional Yankee Swap will be among the main events. On Christmas Day, good food will be offered and planning is underway for a relaxed activity schedule. That's not all! We're open New Year’s Day as well.

Other planned events include a Game Day on December 2nd, Make Your Own Holiday Cards on December 8th and Movies and Hot Chocolate at The Clubhouse on December 29th.

The Clubhouse members and staff invite all to join us for any of these events. If you're a supporter or friend of the clubhouse, or just someone who would like to know more about us, please consider being a part of any of our activities.
